Birmingham as a city for me is quite like any other there really isn't much that separates place from place. As I come from Wolverhampton I really don't see a difference, lots of people, shops, noise and transport
My main dealings with Birmingham are the train Journeys I take to and from Uni which isn't really much.
I think if you look at the City in comparison to say the country there will be some big differences like noise levels not as many people so not as many shops around not as much transport and ugly.
